Donations

In year 2000, its first year, the Deepak Binning Foundation donated $6,000 each to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canucks’ Place and Children’s Hospital. Since then we have donated over $25,000 to Canucks’ Place and Children’s Hospital and over $22,000 to Southern Cariboo Cancer Clinic in Kelowna, $4,100 to Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton and $5,000 to Seniors’ Home in Surrey and invested over $90,000 in a trust fund in the Deepak Binning Memorial Scholarship Trust.

Small amounts of donations are made to many different other ongoing events along with supporting the Punjabi Literary Association, printing of Punjabi books, sponsoring Punjabi cultural events and sponsoring a Punjabi Jashan, which is organized by the Punjabi Language and Education Association.
